It’s Saturday which means only one more day until the next episode of EYEWITNESS airs on USA Network (Sunday nights 10/9c)!!!

Ratings have increased visibly over the past few weeks but we need to keep up that upwards trend to have a good chance at getting a second season of this wonderful show which has not only an interesting plot, complex characters, and strong women but also a compelling and utterly believable love story between two boys. The road to happiness for them is bumpy, but also filled with some of the sweetest moments I’ve ever seen from any tv couple (straight or gay)!

If you have never watched EYEWITNESS then PLEASE give it a chance! There is still enough time to binge on the first 8 episodes on the USA Network website or app (you can also buy them on iTunes, Amazon or YouTube) before episode 9 airs!  This show is great for LGBT representation on TV. The love story between the boys is actually the main love story on the show, and it is at the heart of the entire plot. They get treated exactly like a straight couple would in terms of focus, screentime and physical intimacy (they have a ton of kissing scenes, there’s casual touching and cuddling, they make out shirtless in the first episode, and the showrunner and actors are strongly hinting at there being a sex scene in the season finale).  Everyone on Tumblr always says they want to see more equality & representation on TV so PLEASE don’t let us lose this show which does so much for it!!! And did I mention that the two actors playing the boys love their ship and are not just super fan-friendly (live chats every week!) but are also actually best friends in real life who have no qualms about being affectionate with each other? SO HOW AND WHERE CAN YOU WATCH EYEWITNESS?

• The show airs Sunday nights at 10 PM on USA Network. If it is at all possible then PLEASE watch it live!!! If you can’t do that then please DVR it and watch it the next day (it’s crucial for ratings that the latest episodes are viewed within 48 hours). Or you could do both which according to the producers will count for two views (so that would be the most helpful thing of all)!
• You can re-watch old episodes on the USA Network website or on their app, and also stream the latest episode there (unlike with the old ones you will have to log in with your cable provider for that one though).This will show the network that people are interested! Alternatively you can purchase episodes (or a season’s pass) on iTunes, Amazon and YouTube (even if you only do it for the last 2 episodes it would really help!!!).
  
• INTERNATIONAL FANS: The only way for anyone outside the USA to truly contribute to the ratings is by buying either a season’s pass or single episodes on iTunes or Amazon. Not sure how to do that? Click HERE for details on how to purchase content from US iTunes without actually living in the US, and HERE for details on how to do the same on Amazon.com! If you can’t afford a season’s pass then just buy the last two episodes (each on Monday after the episode aired) — they are only around $2 each so it’s really not a lot of money and it will help a lot!!!
  
• WHATEVER YOU DO PLEASE WATCH THE SHOW LEGALLY! Views on illegal streaming sites or illegal downloads are NOT seen by the network and therefore do not help at all (it’s the same as not watching at all). In fact, they could actively contribute to the show’s cancellation!
  

Please do not wait until the season is over to binge this show because it needs the views NOW or it will get cancelled!!! And you can already binge on the first 8 episodes, watch #9 tomorrow, and then you’ll only have to wait 1 week for the season finale. Also, the season is close-ended so you don’t have to worry about being left with a cliffhanger!

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO TO HELP?

• Tell everyone you know about the show and ask them to watch it (even if it is only for the last two episodes on Dec. 11th & 18th)
  
• Tweet some love for the show to @USA_Network using the hashtags #Eyewitness, #Philkas and #wewanteyewitnessseason2 ! Keeping social media traffic for the show at a high level is super important!!!!
  
• Tweet @netflix and ask them to add Eyewitness to their line-up
